Introduction:
As the "Choices" and "Options" community inclusion day programs will now be together at our new building under the new program name "Oceanside Day Program", many of the activities that participants have enjoyed in the past will continue to be offered, along with some new ones. Participants have had an opportunity to create a calendar of activities with staff and have chosen their activities for the fall/winter schedule.Activities being offered on the new schedule are: newspaper delivery, music, dance and movement, art, cooking class, computers and technology, "coffee chat" daily discussions, current events, photography club, literacy circle, library, senior’s centre, games, community exploration, fitness and exercise, bowling, program supplies shopping, TLC (BLT) computer lab, Music and Motion, trips to Nanaimo, special events and parties, skill building (practical and applied skills, social, personal development), volunteering (SOS, Food Bank, Soup Kitchen, Meals on Wheels, Eagle Park Gift Shop Trolley).
As our new building provides a larger space, each group will have their own area to engage in program activities. The schedule is set up to provide opportunities each day for both community and in-house activities.
